Steelman Combination ChassisEAR/EngineEAR Noise and Vibration Detection System combines the features of a model 06600 ChassisEAR and model 65001 EngineEAR system, allowing a technician to listen to six different under-chassis locations in one road test, while pinpointing noises and locations of worn bearings & bushings, noisy valves & lifters, broken or worn gear teeth, faulty fuel injectors, wind or air leaks, and annoying squeaks and rattles. This combo unit saves time when trouble-shooting and detects noises that cannot be duplicated in the stall. The ChassisEAR system includes 16'-long wire sensor leads to reach to all vehicle locations, with six (6) color-coded, super-sensitive microphone clamps that attach to problem areas, and the EngineEAR system includes a non-conductive microphone that will not zap expensive computer circuitry. Professional headphones are also included to amplify sound while shutting out surrounding noise, and a flexible shaft is included to reach the tightest areas.
