Associated Equipment Digital 12/24V Battery and Electrical Systems Tester, with a 500-amp load, is a great time-saver for testing electrical systems on 12-, 12/24-, and 24-volt vehicles, designed with the highest quality and versatility in mind. This unit interprets data from a charging/starting system with a digital voltmeter (0-32V DC) and ammeter (0-999A), featuring easy-to-read LED displays, and there is also a "+/- Amps" display for easy diagnosis of current leakage problems. The 500-amp, carbon pile variable-load capability provides accurate load testing for up to 1000 CCA batteries, and the unit's unique, curved carbon discs assure maximum contact, fewer hot spots, smoother operation, and longer life. Extra safety features on this unit include a "Load-On" light that indicates when the load is activated, circuit-protection against reverse voltage due to incorrect hook-up, and a coated circuit board, which prevents damage and meter inaccuracy due to moisture and dirt. The tester also includes 500-amp safety clamps with "Flexi-Spring" cable guards and patented side terminal adapters, plus separate light-gauge test leads for tighter spots and heavy-duty, single-extruded leads for testing up to 15' apart. This unit comes with a convenient, heavy-duty cart (model 6038) for easy mobility, and the tester also features 10-meg ohm input impedance for today's high-tech systems. An inductive pick-up is also included, as well as a video manual with step-by-step instructions. This made-in-the-USA product has a limited manufacturer warranty of 1 year (90 days on the carbon pile assembly) and also comes with 8' DC leads (4 AWG) with a buried tracer lead-in cable to prevent damage, measuring 8" H x 36" W x 19" D overall.
